General Description:
The Business Analyst primary role is to consult with end-users, understand and optimize business processes, and assist to be more efficient and effective in utilizing the Jenzabar ERP system driving student success. This position will be onsite at William Woods University and reports to the Director of Applications Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Working with users in various administrative departments to assess, train and assist with business process improvements and usage of Jenzabar administrative software solutions in higher education.
· Designing and writing functional specifications based on consultations with higher education departments regarding administrative Jenzabar ERP requirements.
· Creating test plans and running tests to find errors and confirming specifications have been met.
· Ability to write reports, and business correspondence, develops process flows and procedure manuals.
· Providing technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
· Training end-users or technical support staff to use and support programs.
· Assisting with the configuration and maintenance of Jenzabar and related solutions.
· Recommend best practices to users in the implementation and use of Jenzabar products.
· Assisting users to prepare for and execute Jenzabar upgrades.
· Designing and writing reports against the SIS database.
· Preparing and submitting status reports as requested by manager and unit.
· Ability to troubleshoot, update, improve custom programs and applications
Position Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, including two years in area(s) of higher education.
· Expert knowledge of the Jenzabar ERP (Student, A/R, Finance), PowerFAIDs, Filebound, and/or Infomaker.
· Working knowledge of SQL and procedural programming languages.
· Project management, planning and execution experience required.
· Knowledge of higher education core business processes required especially in one or more of the following areas – Student, Financial Aid, Finance, AP/AR)
· High degree of creativity with a “can-do” attitude; display high degree of professionalism.
· Ability to set and change priorities amongst multiple competing constituencies, projects and resources.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience supporting Single Sign On (SSO),.
· Experience with third party products such as PowerFAIDs, Filebound and Infomaker are highly desired.
· Experience with MS Office 365, SharePoint for office productivity and collaboration.
· Converting designs and specifications into PL/SQL, SQL, JAVA, HTML5, or PowerShell code a plus.
Work Schedule:
This is a 40-hour per week, 12-month position with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
