POSITION OVERVIEW
Assists with the maintenance of City property in a safe and efficient manner.
- Starting: May 1st through August 1st
- Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older to perform the work required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing and submit to periodic drug testing as required by applicable laws.
- Be willing to work outside on regular basis.
- Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
- Basic procedures, tools and equipment used in grounds, building construction, maintenance, and/or custodial duties is desirable.

FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
- Performs general labor as needed which may include mowing, weed eating, digging, sweeping, painting, dusting, waxing, painting curbs & streets, putting up signage, concrete and asphalt, etc.
- Maintains equipment as instructed by supervisor and replaces tools and equipment when finished.
- Keeps supervisor advised as to status of all projects assigned assuring for timeliness.
- Ensures that all safety equipment procedures and gear are used at all appropriate times.
- Deals with the public in a positive manner.
- Responds to requests by immediate supervisor in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
