POSITION OVERVIEW

Assists with the maintenance of City property in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Starting: May 1st through August 1st
  • Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years or older to perform the work required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing and submit to periodic drug testing as required by applicable laws.
  • Be willing to work outside on regular basis.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
  • Basic procedures, tools and equipment used in grounds, building construction, maintenance, and/or custodial duties is desirable.

FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions

  • Performs general labor as needed which may include mowing, weed eating, digging, sweeping, painting, dusting, waxing, painting curbs & streets, putting up signage, concrete and asphalt, etc.
  • Maintains equipment as instructed by supervisor and replaces tools and equipment when finished.
  • Keeps supervisor advised as to status of all projects assigned assuring for timeliness.
  • Ensures that all safety equipment procedures and gear are used at all appropriate times.
  • Deals with the public in a positive manner.
  • Responds to requests by immediate supervisor in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
