FULTON, MO – The Fulton Area Development Foundation is excited to announce that a total of $300,000 has been earmarked for utility assistance for small businesses.  All businesses who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19 and/or closed during the state shutdown are encouraged to apply for the assistance.  Grant assistance will cover electricity, gas, water, and internet costs from April 1st through May 31st

To qualify, the business should be a brick and mortar in Callaway County and were adversely impacted COVID-19 and/or were closed during the state shutdown.  Submitted utility bills must include the business name to qualify for reimbursement.

Due to federal government regulations, businesses who received funding from the Paycheck Protection Program and used those funds to pay for utilities are encouraged not to apply as acceptance of the FADF Utility Grant funds could adversely effect their PPP loan.  Additionally, businesses who received funds for the Small Business Recovery Grant and indicated their intended use of those funds would be for utility assistance, do not qualify.

“It is very important to the FADF that we ensure that all businesses in Callaway County who were impacted by COVID-19 and who have not already received utility assistance, can receive that assistance.” Callaway Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Tamara Tateosian, said.

To apply, applicants must complete the application, have it notarized, include utility bills for months of April and May 2020 (submitted utility bills must include the business name to qualify for reimbursement), and provide a current 2020 business license.  Non-Profits should provide a current 2020 Certificate of Good Standing with the State of Missouri.

Applications with all required documents must be notarized and return to the Chamber by September 30th by 5PM. No digital submissions will be accepted.
